I am so excited to be a part of the staff here at Hahira First Baptist Church where the Lord is working daily to make disciples and grow people into a loving, God-glorifying, relationship with Him. I graduated right here from Lowndes High School and am currently attending Valdosta State University where I study Philosophy and Religion. Youth are truly what I have a passion for and the Lord has allowed me to serve at this local family in the youth ministry. David Platt of Brookhills Baptist Church asked the question once “How do you teach a man to sail? Do you teach him how to build a boat and from that he will take it out on the ocean and may cultivate a knowledge of sailing? Would the best way be to even give him sailing lessons? While these are good responses, the best way to teach a man to sail is to give him a passion for the sea.” I strive not to just teach about Christ in an attempt that the youth may just “learn” something, while knowledge is good I think passion is best. Therefore, it is my goal at HFBC to cultivate a passion among youth to truly know the God of this universe that has given everything for them, and from that passion they will not only know God but they will love, serve and share Him also. I know that through exemplifying the passion inside of me to these youth great things can be accomplished here at Hahira First Baptist Church.
